PIMCO CIO William H. Gross stapt op
De medeoprichter en Chief Investment Officer stapt per direct uit de firma. Overigens niet om werkeloos thuis te gaan zitten. Investeringsmaatschappij Janus Capital meldt vandaag dat Gross maandag bij hun aan de slag zal gaan als beheerder van het Global Unconstrained Bond Fund.
Een gigantische transfer voor de financiële markt, de overstap van Gross. Onder zijn leiding werd PIMCO één van de grootste investeringsmaatschappijen ter wereld.
Douglas Hodge, Chief Executive Officer van PIMCO, liet in een reactie weten dat er al langer sprake was van onenigheid: "While we are grateful for everything Bill contributed to building our firm and delivering value to PIMCO's clients, over the course of this year it became increasingly clear that the firm's leadership and Bill have fundamental differences about how to take PIMCO forward."
Bij Janus Capital Group zijn ze erg blij met de komst van de succesvolle beheerder. Richard M. Gross zei zelf dat hij de overstap maakt om een rustiger bestaan te leiden: "I chose Janus as my next home because of my longstanding relationship with and respect for CEO Dick Weil and my desire to get back to spending the bulk of my day managing client assets."
